Work Area Manager - Late Shift
Salary: £35,294 - £38,207 (dependent on experience), 10% bonus potential, 25 days annual leave and generous pension scheme
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent, 41 hours per week
Location: Birmingham Mail Centre, St. Stephens Street, Birmingham, B6 4AB
Shift Patterns: Monday - Friday, hours between 14:00 - 22:12 flexibility required due to operational needs.
Role Overview:
As a Work Area Manager, you will work in a busy mail centre, responsible for managing operations in a specified area. You will lead a dedicated team of full and part-time employees, hold regular one-to-one and team meetings, and review the area's performance and plans on a daily basis. Championing health and safety initiatives, increasing efficiency, and identifying areas of improvement are essential to your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Shift Manager to provide a high quality of service to our customers and ensure all operational targets are met.
- Manage your team's sick absence, attendance, training, and development.
- Get involved in our programme of continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience Required:
We are looking for candidates who are flexible, can work under pressure, and possess excellent leadership and communication skills. Demonstrated evidence on your CV of the following is required:
