Manufacturing Systems Engineer | Witney | £45,000pa - £55,000pa plus c£4k bonus & bens:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join a well-established specialist manufacturer in the Witney area. With growth plans to scale their £100m turnover business to over £200m over the next 5 years, this role is a key component to ensure that their targets are met by driving continuous improvement into production and to help design and implement new factory machinery and processes.
The Manufacturing Systems Engineer will form part of a small team whose remit is to deliver continuous improvement and machinery projects into production. The projects you will manage could cost anywhere from £100k - £1m in value and you will be managing multiple continuous improvement and machinery projects at any given time.
Responsibilities:
1. Drive continuous improvement and machinery projects.
2. Manage multiple projects with values ranging from £100k to £1m.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Engineering qualified, either via an Apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or Degree.
2. Minimum 2 years in a production engineering role.
3. Experience in a high-volume manufacturing area with complex products.
4. Proven track record of working with internal teams to meet production and quality targets.
5. Proven people management skills, with the ability to develop others through coaching and support.
6. Ability to create engineering designs using CAD.
7. Experience with manufacturing automation.
8. Computer-literate, proficient in MS Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
1. Experience in designing and implementing a factory or production line.
2. Experience with ERP systems including BOMs.
3. Practical experience in NPI processes or teams.
4. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems ISO.
5. Experience programming CNC machine tools, PLC systems, or Industrial Robots.
