About the Role: Teach Economics across Key Stages 4 and 5, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 3 depending on experience and interest. Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students are challenged and supported to make excellent progress in Economics. Utilize a range of teaching methods and resources, including case studies, simulations, group discussions, and current affairs analysis, to bring Economics to life for students and foster a deep understanding of economic concepts. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys. Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Economics curriculum remains relevant, challenging, and engaging for all students. Foster a love of Economics in students, encouraging them to explore economic issues, participate in debates and discussions, and consider further studies or careers in economics and related fields. Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment where students thrive. Ideal Candidate: Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification. Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Economics, with a strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Economics and relevant examination specifications. Demonstrates a passion for teaching Economics and a commitment to student success, with a proven track record of engaging and inspiring students. Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
