Job Title: Office Cleaner/Facilities Assistant - London, UK
Job Summary:
The Office Cleaner/Facilities Assistant is responsible for providing workplace services to increase individual well-being, personal productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Office Cleanliness & Presentation:
o Ensure the office is neat, clean, and welcoming for employees and guests.
o Dust meeting room tables and maintain the hospitality area.
o Spot clean rugs to get out stains. e. food and or beverage spills.
o Organize and maintain the coat room.
* Kitchen Maintenance:
o Load/unload the dishwasher, clean sinks, fridges, microwaves, surfaces, and floors.
o Empty bins and restock toiletries.
o Refill and descale coffee machines as needed.
o Unpack grocery deliveries and restock the pantry daily, checking stock levels throughout the day.
* Event & Meeting Support:
o Assist with set up catering orders for office events.
o Promptly clean up food and drinks after events.
o Daily dusting in meeting rooms and reception.
* General Cleaning Duties:
o Wipe down surfaces and clean glass doors.
o Spot clean stains or spillages and empty waste bins/shredders, replacing liners as required.
o Take empty boxes and recycling to the loading bay.
o Clean bathrooms and replace toiletries as needed.
* Maintenance Tasks:
o Conduct regular inspections of office facilities to ensure everything is in good working order.
o Perform minor repairs, such as fixing door handles, lightbulbs, or furniture.
o Monitor heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and report issues to the Facilities Manager.
o Liaise with external contractors for larger repair jobs and supervise their work when on-site.
o Monthly maintenance of the drain pumps. Ie cleaning filters.
* Safety & Reporting:
o Identify and report safety hazards or concerns to the Facilities Manager.
o Ensure all cleaning and maintenance tasks comply with health and safety standards.
* Miscellaneous Tasks:
o Liaise with Office Assistants for company events.
o Run errands and assist with additional tasks as needed.
o Climbing ladder to access storage areas.
Requirements:
* Experience:
o Previous cleaning experience required; office cleaning experience preferred.
o Familiarity with basic maintenance tasks and tools.
o Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
o Familiarity with using chemical products.
o Knowledge of basic maintenance and repair techniques.
* Skills:
o Strong organizational and time-management skills.
o Good communication skills to assist with queries and provide support as needed.
o Attention to detail with a proactive and diligent work ethic.
