ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT Stephen James BMW Group is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our busy accounts team. YOUR ROLE. As an Accounts Assistant you will be an integral part of our accounts team. You will handle regular accounting tasks independently and participate in various ongoing and upcoming projects. The main duties of the role include. Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable. Manage vehicle debtors, sales ledger, purchase ledger, and reconciliations. Utilise advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables) to manage and analyse data. Maintain and update Drive. Oversee and complete the month-end nominal ledger and reconciliations. Handle journal processing and maintain vehicle stock books. Prepare detailed and accurate financial reports regularly for the finance team and financial controller. Support the finance department and senior accounting staff with tasks such as preparing budgets, records, and statements. YOUR PROFILE. Ideally you will be studying for an accountancy qualification or will be either part or fully AAT qualified (or have another accounting qualification). Motor-trade experience would be preferable, as would a good working knowledge of Kerridge/Drive. Proficiency in Excel experience, including advanced functions (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot tables) Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team ABOUT US.
