The role
As a Project Manager – Construction, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will conduct the Delivery of project to the baseline schedule/cost and performance in line with project and business success criteria.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide construction governance, technical and design support to the team. You will also:
* Establish and maintain governance arrangements for the delivery of the project, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with the company Business Management System.
* Plan and monitor the project from start to end (cost, schedule & quality); agree plans with the Sponsor and submit/present regular Monthly Review Reports indicating any deviations and corrective action taken.
* Plan the work and oversee the buying of necessary materials and equipment hire and manage staff for the project.
* Manage the construction process on a day-to-day basis, ensuring supervision of labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control.
* Manage and co-ordinate design team such as architects, engineers, and contractors.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the office/onsite and 2 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Project Manager - Construction
* Significant experience in a Construction sector Project Management position.
* Influences and consults with others fostering teamwork and collaboration.
* Able to lead and encourage others to implement change, and consider the impact of change.
* A customer focused approach with a track record of delivering high quality customer service to a diverse mix of stakeholders.
* Leads by example and acts with integrity, recognises and acknowledges the behaviours and achievements of the team or individuals.
Qualifications for the Project Manager - Construction
* Member of a professional body such as CIOB, RICS, CIBSE or other relevant professional body.
* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Certificate.
* IOSH qualification or equivalent.
* Bachelor's degree in Construction or a related field.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
