Deliver Ophthalmic services including Intravitreal injections, Cataract surgery and out patient clinics including general, URC and Glaucoma.

To provide surgical procedures and outpatient consultations on a range of ophthalmic conditions at Boston House and Leigh Infirmary.

Person specification
Qualifications
* MB ChB or equivalent
* Full registration with the GMC
* ALS or equivalent
* MRCOphth or equivalent
Experience
* Able to carry out BLS to a standard that accords with the UK Resuscitation Council guidelines
* Experience of Ophthalmic surgery
* Experience of AMD services
* Experience of Diabetic Screening services
* Completed audit projects
Skills
* Good communicator and team player
* Ability to keep good clinical records
* Ability to take a clinical history and examine patients commensurate with a middle grade member of medical staff
* Teaching and training experience
* Leadership roles - clinical or management
Additional
* Speak English to an appropriate standard relevant to their role i.e. with confidence and accuracy, using correct sentence structures and vocabulary and without hesitation
