We are looking for a Performance Manager (IED) Industrial Emissions Directive to join Thames Water on a permanent basis!

This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in managing a complex process at one of our most high-profile sewage treatment sites.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and improvement of sewage treatment processes at Bishops Stortford Sewage Treatment Works through the effective leadership and direction of resources.
What you'll be doing as a Performance Manager (IED)
* Managing the site and team to ensure effluent discharge compliance, health and safety standards, budget compliance and statutory planned & reactive maintenance is maintained through effective performance management.
* Inspiring and motivating your team whilst also being able to empathise and understand each person in your team helping us build a strong team environment.
* Leading the Health & Safety culture of the team and driving an environment where good practices are a way of everyday life and total compliance is adhered to.
* Performance managing our Sewage Treatment Works site compliance by ensuring the site achieves and maintains its required plant availability and reliability to meet quality targets set by our regulator.
* Driving the team to achieve optimal performance in terms of work management, along with developing the team and introducing new skills and health and safety awareness.
* Owning and managing the budgetary and financial activities of the team and driving efficiencies into the overall operational budget.
* Ensuring exceptional service to our customers with early personal interventions as required.
What should you bring to the role?
* Experience in successfully managing an operational team, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to develop, coach, motivate and engage a team.
* Experience in leading a Health and Safety culture, ideally IOSH or equivalent qualified.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the business.
* A vision for the business and the wider team, with the ability to adapt and be decisive in a rapid fast-paced environment.
* Proven track record of raising the standards within a team.
* Computer literate with the ability to analyse data on Microsoft Packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
* A FULL UK driving licence is required.
