Job overview
MFT Employee Health and Wellbeing (EHW) service provides specialist advice and support regarding employee health issues to MFT employees and managers as well as to a variety of external clients. The EHW Service continues to provide an efficient, highly professional and cost-effective service whilst focusing activity on meeting the common challenges faced by a large Acute NHS Trust; we now look after over 28,000 employees making us the biggest Trust in the UK.
The EHW Service is a multidisciplinary team (MDT) comprising of Senior Managers, Occupational Physicians, Fitness for Work Advisers (including Occupational Health qualified nurses/specialist practitioners, Mental Health Nurse, Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist), Clinic Nurses, Psychological Support Therapists and EHW Physiotherapists delivering the Musculoskeletal service. Working with our Service Support team, the main priority is to create a dynamic approach to maximise employee health, wellbeing and productivity.
We are currently recruiting experienced practitioners to deliver our multidisciplinary fitness for work service and work alongside our expert colleagues in providing an EHW service to our highly skilled organisation.

Main duties of the job
The candidate will be highly motivated and competent to deliver the Mental Health and Neurodiverse aspect of the fitness for work service. They must be able to provide quality psychological assessments and neurodiverse overviews, supporting with reasonable adjustments, return to work plans and guidance to MFT staff, including reports to management and be able to engage with all relevant stakeholders. The candidate will need to have an Occupational Health background and experience of working in an MDT setting and approach. There will be a requirement to engage with managers including provision of guided sessions on the importance of effective self-care, rehabilitation and strategies required to support any staff member with a mental health or neurodiverse condition.
Taking a business partnership approach, you will work alongside EHW colleagues to provide proactive EHW services to the Trust as well as supporting external contracts. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual, who is IT literate and able to contribute to system and process development.
As a key member of the team, this role provides a unique and exciting opportunity to assist in the design and delivery of a highly professional and customer focused, EHW service.

Education/Qualifications
* NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse or HPC Occupational Therapist
* Evidence of recent CPD
* Specialist Occupational Health qualification or relevant equivalent experience of working in the specialty of Occupational Health at a senior level up to masters equivalent level, supplemented by relevant short courses.

* Post registration experience working within NHS Mental Health services
* Extensive post registration experience of conducting mental health and risk assessments
