Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Senior Sister / Charge Nurse for Arrivals Surgical Ward. The position involves working on Arrivals Unit. Applicants for this senior nurse vacancy need to have evidence of good organisational skills as well as being able to demonstrate people management and leadership skills alongside the ability to care with warmth and understanding. The Band 7 Senior Sister / Charge Nurse vacancy is Permanent and the post holder will work predominantly Monday to Friday supporting the ward nursing staff through delivery care to the ward patients. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the job The successful post holder will be required to support the Acute Surgical Matron through ensuring high standards of nursing care as outlined in the Welsh Government Fundamentals of Care priorities. The Ward Senior Sister / Charge Nurse will also be required to provide assurance of ward Quality and Safety through monthly Nursing Metrics and Key Performance Indicators.
