Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the research team working on a variety of research studies across many specialties at both The Royal Shrewsbury and The Princess Royal Hospitals. The base will be Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. This a varied role with a mix of admin and clerical support to enable the research team to recruit patients into trials. The role involves clinic screening, sending GP letters, managing spreadsheets and using our research databases to add patients as well as other varied tasks. Time management skills are therefore essential as is the ability to work autonomously. Previous experience in research is not essential, however a good knowledge of hospital IT systems would be an advantage and being a key player is integral to the role. We are expecting a high number of applications for this post and it is likely that the advert will close early, therefore if you want to join our team please apply early Main duties of the job Some of the duties of this varied role : Clinic screening ,managing databases, preparing for clinics and follow ups and entering data using hospital and other IT systems. Time management skills are therefore essential as is the ability to work autonomously. You need to have an enquiring mind with a good basic level of education with a minimum of five GCSEs, or equivalent (grades 9-4 or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
