The Academic Quality and Policy Office (AQPO) has responsibility for a number of key areas in the University related to academic provision, namely, academic quality assurance, academic regulation and policy development and providing support for academic governance.
The Academic Quality Administrative Assistant will provide support for the Senior Academic Quality Managers in the operation of The University’s quality assurance processes (including course validation and review, module amendments, annual review). The Academic Quality Administrative Assistant will be expected to support with the validation process including the servicing of validation and review panels. As part of the validation process the Academic Quality Administrative Assistant will be required to update course and module details on the University’s system (Banner) to ensure accurate and complete records are maintained. The Academic Quality Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Senior Academic Quality Managers to update course specifications as required to ensure CMA compliance. The Academic Quality Administrative Assistant will also work closely with the Academic Quality Officers to support validation work and the servicing of university level committees.
This post presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional individual interested in the work described above. Candidates for this post should have good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. You will need to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with academic and administrative staff across the University but also work collaboratively with other members of the Academic Quality and Policy team. You will have good organisational skills and the ability to work independently and prioritise work appropriately. Good IT skills are also required.
The University has adopted hybrid working for some roles and so some remote working would be possible for this role.
