The renowned Ross-on-Wye Golf Club has an exciting opportunity available to assist the General Manager in providing the highest levels of service to members and visitors.
The role is responsible for attending to all day-to-day enquiries from members and visitors, as well as providing office support to the General Manager and Board of Directors.
As the job requires dealing with members and visitors, it is important to have a friendly personality and good communication skills, which reflect the image of the golf club in the best possible way.

Required attributes:
1. Presentable and polite; approachable with good communication skills
2. Good IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office and basic social media
3. A structured approach to handling tasks in an organised manner
4. Ability to learn new systems (training will be provided)
5. A basic understanding of golf and/or sports clubs would be beneficial, but is not essential
Main Job Scope:
1. Undertake general office duties including answering the phone, taking visitor enquiries efficiently and handling members’ day-to-day requests, if need be, passing on to the relevant person
2. Help organise and maintain the club’s diary (online)
3. Process new membership enquiries, deal with annual renewal of existing membership and keep up to date records of the members
4. Log and process all society group bookings from start of enquiry to payment in advance of the golf day
5. Support the office/General Manager in ad-hoc duties that may arise on the day
6. Support the club with its social media posting and marketing emails
7. Maintain the office and the office equipment
8. Be the liaison with day-to-day contractors

Pay: From £11.90 per hour
