Market Lead – Sustainability & Environmental Services
Location: London, UK
Role Purpose:
We’re looking for a dynamic and results-driven Market Lead to help drive growth within our Consultancy directorate at Bureau Veritas UK&I (BV Solutions).
This pivotal role will involve collaborating with senior leaders to expand our sales pipeline across sustainability, environmental, health & safety, and related sectors. As part of the sales team, you'll be responsible for managing key accounts, developing new business relationships, and delivering large-scale contracts that align with our ambitious growth plans.
About BV Solutions:
BV Solutions is a newly established, cutting-edge division at Bureau Veritas UK&I, focused on delivering high-value advisory services across corporate sustainability, environmental management, air quality, health and safety, fire science, and marine & offshore sectors. We are on a mission to drive strong growth, with a focus on sustainability, in line with our LEAP | 28 strategy to more than double turnover from sustainability-related sales by 2028.
Main Responsibilities:
* Sales Leadership: Own your sales targets and deliver £2-4 million annually in new sales, driving growth in sustainability, environmental, and H&S sectors.
* Strategic Selling: Develop sales strategies tailored to client needs and market trends. Manage complex sales cycles, from prospecting to contract closure.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Global Service Lines, technical teams, and marketing to develop market insights and innovative sales approaches.
* Account Management: Drive long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring alignment with BV Solutions’ objectives and delivering outstanding service.
* Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, utilizing Salesforce to manage and track progress, while ensuring that all KPIs and CRM standards are met.
* Brand Exposure & Marketing: Develop seminar materials and host seminars to elevate brand visibility and educate clients on BV Solutions’ offerings.
* Leadership & Coordination: Coordinate sector and network growth strategies, ensuring alignment between sales and operational delivery teams.
Key Deliverables:
* Achieve £2-4 million in new sales annually.
* Generate 2.5x your sales target in opportunities.
* Support BV Solutions' growth in alignment with LEAP | 28 objectives.
* Create and execute frameworks to support sustainable sales channels.
Experience & Skills:
* 10+ years of B2B sales experience, with a proven track record in managing large contracts.
* At least 5 years managing key accounts in sustainability, environmental, or health & safety sectors.
* Strong executive presence and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at senior management and C-suite levels.
* Proven ability to manage complex sales environments and drive strategic solutions.
* Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and excellent communication skills.
* A deep understanding of the sustainability and environmental landscape.
Qualifications:
* A degree or training in sustainability, environment, or health & safety (preferred).
* High-Level Sales or Account Management Training (e.g., Miller Heiman).
