Job description
Our client is seeking a Highway Lighting Asset Manager for a contract position. This role has an anticipated starting date of around April 15, 2024. The position will be reviewed after 6 months, and any extension will be based on performance and budget availability.
As a Highway Lighting Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the management of electrical, structural, and operational performance of the Authority's street lighting assets, illuminated traffic signs, urban traffic control network, tunnel management systems, fountains, clocks, and lighting service level agreements for third parties. This includes managing and directing the performance of street lighting and electrical installations.
In addition, you will provide specialist expertise to the Street Lighting team and support the management of the review of street lighting performance with the Highway Maintenance & Management Service Provider.
The role will predominantly be based from home, but there may be a need to attend meetings and/or briefings at the council office, contractor, partner, or supplier premises as required. Therefore, you must be prepared to travel as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience in highway management and possess strong knowledge of electrical assets and infrastructure. You should also have experience in working with service providers and managing partnerships and relationships.
