Catalent are currently recruiting for an Production Team Leader to join the Dartford site. The Production Team Leader will take responsibility for a defined area of manufacturing/warehouse as well as motivate a diverse team to deliver pharmaceutical manufacturing operations to ensure a safe and compliant environment. Working hours rota: 06.00-13.50 13.30-22.00 13.30-19.00 21.00-07.00 The Role: Accountable for effectively managing the people and company resources, including the safety, quality, and compliance, in the designated zone of responsibility and for the effective performance management and development of all team members in line with a clear team plan. Coaching members to deliver improvements within the area of responsibility through use of the Catalent Way / Continuous Improvement methodology. Accountable for leading problem solving and performance management within the role holder’s zone of responsibility. >65% of hours worked are outside core office hours - requiring a high degree of self-reliance and ability to assess the impact of non-standard safety and/or quality events Ownership of 13 week scheduling window with respect to anticipating problems Aware of 0-18 month production horizon and input into supply chain planning process and site and supply chain performance and role in influencing performance measures (e.g., %OTD) Able to switch between team management and lead Process Technician activities across multiple equipment/bays Requirement to liaise and interface with a wide range of support functions including QA, QC, Engineering, Customer Services, Technical Services, etc. Conduct regular briefings and team meetings with employees - building understanding of the business and ensuring alignment with site and company priorities / expectations Lead daily/weekly shift/handover meetings, effectively manage resources and ensuring prompt issue resolution. Full management responsibility for 10-15 Process Technicians To embed a Quality & Compliance culture within operations, establishing and maintaining continual ‘inspection readiness’ and ensure consistent compliance with cGMP requirements, e.g. Compliance with SOPs, with regular confirmation of critical process steps Completion of GMP documentation (e.g., BMRs) in accordance with Data Integrity requirements To embed a culture of continuous improvement within operations by Aligning & engaging the team around the delivery of business goals Involving & Developing people to reveal & solve problems to deliver business goals Ensuring the standards for the way work is done are in place & in use Ensuring the standards for the way work is continuously improved are in place & in use Raise the capability of the team by focusing on process: stabilise it, standardise it, & improve it; exposing problems, eliminating them & repeating the cycle over & over. The Candidate: Required: Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent A-C Role requires technical understanding, advanced problem solving and solution development skills.
