Learning Support Assistant Location : Sleaford Start Date : ASAP Salary Scale : £83.33 - £90.00 per day Experience Required GSL Education Lincoln are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to provide essential support to students with SEND in one of client schools in Sleaford. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and specialists to create an enabling environment for students, promoting engagement and participation in all aspects of school life. This role is ideal for individuals who are patient, empathetic, and keen to support the learning and well-being of children. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the classroom, supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in their academic and social development. You will work under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support, ensuring students can engage fully in the learning environment. Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant: Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEND. Assist the class teacher in managing pupil behaviour and facilitating learning. Help to implement individual learning plans tailored to students’ needs. Foster an inclusive and supportive environment. Monitor students’ progress and report back to the SENCO and teaching staff. Support students during break times and other school activities as needed. Required Qualifications for a Learning Support Assistant: Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role. Knowledge of SEND and experience supporting students with additional needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting young people. A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to complete a new check.
