We are looking for a motivated and passionate individual who wants to work as part of our Cardiology Team to help provide exceptional care to patients accessing services in Harrogate & District NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting post working in a dedicated team consisting of Cardiology Secretaries and Administrators providing secretarial and administrative support for our Consultants.
Main duties of the job
Your main role is to provide comprehensive organisational and administration support to the Consultant team as well as communicating with parents/carers and external services.
The role involvesproviding administration support to the team and wider team and the typing of clinic/admin letters. Another part of the role is dealing with telephone calls, which may be sensitive in nature, from patients and external agencies and communicating information to the relevant clinicians,
We strive for excellence in supporting patients accessing our services in HDFT, in this role you will help to maintain efficient, effective relationships between clinical teams, clients and administration services.
The ability to use your initiative is essential. You will appreciate the need for complete confidentiality with regard to Data Protection in respect of patient details and relating to the welfare and treatment of patients and staff at all times.
You will be a team player, have excellent communication skills and be a proficient typist with good IT skills.

5. 3 GCSEs or equivalent including English, at Grade C or above
6. Demonstrable working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word
7. Evidence of continuing development

8. RSA II audio or equivalent
9. ECDL
10. Medical terminology qualification
11. NVQ Level 2 Admin and Clerical
Experience

12. Previous recent experience working in a clerical/administrative role
