What You Will DoA vacancy has arisen for an Electrical Team Member to join the Engineering team based at a large-scale manufacturing facility in Hartlepool. We are looking for someone to provide first-line expertise to our production areas as part of a small, multi-disciplined engineering team.Reporting to the Shift Engineer, youll:Assist the engineering team in carrying out preventative & reactive maintenanceMaintain Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensuring safe working procedures are followedProvide technical expertise to identify and rectify faults to minimise plant downtimeSuggest and implement improvements to process control systemsDeliver high-quality work, ensuring any deficiencies found are repaired expediently and robustly to prevent recurrenceThis position will operate on a shift pattern of 12-hour Days and Nights (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off).

What You Will NeedWe are looking for individuals with a problem-solving approach to their work. You should have completed an electrical apprenticeship or possess a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar). Ideally, you will have a background in heavy engineering manufacturing and possess excellent interpersonal skills.Wed also love to speak with individuals who have experience with:Industrial/domestic wiringOverhead cranes & associated safety systemsPLCs (Siemens & Allen Bradley, including HMIs)AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems of various configurationsVariable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devicesReading and interpreting electrical drawingsAwareness of safety-related control systems
