EcoWild seeks Non Exec Director to build a resilient Board
Objectives
We work with local communities across Bath Northeast Somerset and the West of England. In our adult provision, this is targeted to those experiencing long-term illness, mental health, anxiety, and social isolation. We work with children and families, schools, and in key partnerships to build nature connection into the lives of a wide range of people. We also work with refugees and other diverse communities to challenge the inequalities in who benefits from nature connectedness.
Our work provides a greater understanding and appreciation of the beautiful complexity of the living world we are nested within, connection to ourselves, each other, and the living world, and a sense of perspective on our problems and the challenges we are living through globally.
Activities
We deliver high-quality and well-respected courses and workshops across Bath & North East Somerset and occasionally Bristol. We work with groups who are largely marginalized from close connection with nature, like refugees and diverse communities. We provide children and family sessions throughout the year and seasonal celebrations for the community. We’ve also worked over many years with schools and partnership with other organizations and strategic regional programs.
