General Cover Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for two general cover teachers to work in the Pembrokeshire area. We work with secondary schools in the area, who are always on the lookout for teachers to help support their staffing provision. These roles offer flexibility in the hours that will be worked, allowing you to take control of your work diary.
General Cover Teachers Must:
* Be an excellent classroom teacher
* Be able to inspire and motivate students
* Have high expectations of students’ achievements and attitudes
* Be able to teach in KS3 & KS4
* Be committed to students, with the belief that education can drive growth in young people
Role of a General Cover Teacher:
* Planning and preparing lessons, schemes of work and assessment material
* Teaching pupils according to their educational needs, pupils assigned to allocated classes, teaching literacy and numeracy skills as appropriate
* Ensuring positive behaviour management in accordance with school policies
* Contributing to departmental meetings, discussions and management systems
* Fostering strong and positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
The successful candidate will have a starting pay of £166.32 per day. They will also have access to a number of free and discounted accredited CPD courses, such as Team Teach and a Level 2 Safeguarding qualification.
This role would be a perfect opportunity for someone looking to gain extra experience teaching in a secondary school setting or a retired teacher looking to pick up part-time work. We also welcome applications from teachers who have predominantly taught in primary settings.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
