Location: Barrow in Furness – On site
Salary: £45,000+ Dependent of skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* You’ll collect, maintain, and track all underlying assumptions to assess potential impacts of changes, supporting capacity assessments across facilities and programs to meet resource demands & driving effective utilisation site wide.
* Conduct thorough business scenario testing to clarify the impact of critical changes, enabling the development of effective mitigation, risk management, and opportunity strategies.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to support the development and maintenance of the Functional Long-Term Skills Analysis and Workforce Plan (LTSAWP), along with proposed supply solutions.
* Collect and analyse data to assess functional capability health, working with Subject Matter Experts to develop plans that address identified issues or risks. Managing the data effectively and presenting insights to senior stakeholders.
* Assist in creating strategic plans to deliver future functional technical Suitably Qualified Experienced Person, aligning with program demands and transformational goals.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Previous experience of working within large scale manufacturing.
* Stakeholder Management and Presentation skills.
* Previous experience of data management and developing reports.
* Previous experience of working within a Managed Project.
Desirable:
* Previous experience of Quality Assurance audit.
* Lean Six Sigma Qualification.
* Previous experience of Tile, Paint and Joinery.

The Discipline Governance team:
You’ll be supporting the Senior Operations Manager in developing and maintaining long-term strategic plans to meet future resource demands and technical SQEP (Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel) requirements for the Function. This includes contributing to the successful delivery of other SQEP workstream activities in alignment with Functional transformation and improvement efforts.
You’ll have the opportunity to work within various manufacturing areas, collaborating closely with various stakeholders such as trade chiefs, discipline managers, trade leads, Early Careers, SASK personnel, and workforce planning leads across the organisation. You will also have a lot of exposure across the business working with Senior Stakeholders both internally and externally and across all of programmes for example Dreadnought and SSNA.
