1. £16.03-£18.42 per hour

Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at The Lawns, a Residential Home located in the seaside town of Weymouth.
You will join a longstanding team of committed and passionate colleagues working in a person-centred way to meet the needs of the people we support.
You will work within Care Dorset’s Community Care Strategy for Residential services to provide a wide range of support and opportunities to maintain and promote the independence and quality of life for service users.
Responsibilities:
11. Assist the Manager and other senior staff as appropriate, in the provision and development of care services for the relevant service user group.
12. Assist in the supervision of staff, buildings and budgets, in accordance with directorate policies and procedures.
13. Undertake effective and efficient assessment of service users including risk assessment, the development of care/support plans and ensuring that these are implemented and monitored.
14. Approval of care plans.
15. Undertake formal supervision, including Performance Development reviews, of staff/team members.
16. Development of individual and group programmes to meet specific objectives as appropriate.
17. Ensure the safe dispensing of medication.
The Successful Candidate Should Have:
18. Appropriate qualification – NVQ level 2 or above.
19. Significant knowledge and application of relevant legislation ., Care Standards Act 2000, Community Care Act 1991.
20. Significant knowledge of risk assessment process.
21. Significant knowledge of care planning process obtained in a similar or related setting.
22. Ability to lead and manage team members.
23. Ability to plan, organise and monitor own work.
24. Current meds training and experience.
This is a part-time position which includes some weekend working.
The shifts will be split across a 3-week rolling rota.
The shift pattern will be discussed on interview.
