Join us as a Business Model Manager
We’ll look to you to lead data led operating model reviews across Finance, making recommendations for future design in line with globally agreed principles, leveraging external insight and supporting Finance and bank wide priorities.
You’ll lead and champion the identification and use of appropriate external insights and industry benchmarking, in addition to seeking the right data to support decision making on specific business operating model reviews.
This is a high-profile role which will see you leading the design sessions with SMEs to develop opportunities to align all aspects of the Finance Operating Model, including outcomes, services, processes, architecture and future skills to deliver a more streamlined service.
What you'll do
In this role, you’ll lead the application of the business operating model design framework with senior colleagues on prioritised considerations, building and challenging data to consider customer outcomes, process framework, services and products, architecture, skills required, location footprint and responsibilities to support decision making.
You’ll also partner with Finance ExCo sponsors, senior business leaders and Global Process Owners to drive business model reviews in a data led approach to shape opportunities, challenge thinking and define outcomes for agreement.
Additionally, you'll:
1. Partner with business leads and Global Process Owners, Business Architecture, Process Management teams, HR and SMEs to lead business operating model reviews.
2. Lead on the application of the business operating model design framework and tools using a data led approach to identify and challenge opportunities to simplify ways of working through the lenses of time, cost, quality, control and customer.
3. Define and agree key measures that align to Finance wide Goals and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) as a result of operating model change, engaging with senior stakeholders to gain agreement and buy in.
4. Develop design inputs to operating model design authority to ensure all Finance design is governed in line with design principles.
5. Champion and lead on embedding business operating model design documentation on outcomes, products or services and roles or responsibilities and seek ways to improve the approach through retros with Business Leaders and SMEs.
The skills you'll need
To thrive in this role, you’ll need a holistic understanding of Business Operating Model design and an understanding of systems architecture and process architecture. You’ll also have strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to support Finance ExCo, Global Process Owners and business leads across Finance.
Furthermore, you'll have:
1. Business operating model design experience.
2. Experience in a consultancy environment using data led analysis to create the case for change and influence decision making.
3. Strong business knowledge of accounting processes and statutory, regulatory and risk reporting.
4. Experience of leading and coaching teams in complex business operating model reengineering and developing approaches to ensure improvement opportunities are identified and delivered.
5. Strong data analysis skills to enable the identification, tracking and reporting of OKRs to bank wide forums.
6. Experience of industry benchmarking and using external insight to support future plans for business operating model activity.
7. Programme Management skills to enable planning, tracking and reporting of Finance wide business operating model plans to operating model design authority.
