We will be looking for someone with a passion for working with older people. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide specialist assessment, treatment and care to a caseload of people with a range of mental health needs. We are recruiting a band 6 mental health nurse for the Specialist Older Adults' Mental Health Service (SOAMHS), based at Horsham Mental Health Team, New Park House in Horsham. The Specialist Older Adults Mental Health Service is integrated between health and social care, and works with older people with both functional and complex organic conditions who need secondary service support. Experience of working with this client group in a community setting is advantageous but not essential, as we would offer a robust induction and supervision package for the right candidate. It is an essential requirement that applicants need to be a Driver with the facility to travel across Horsham and Crawley as required.,
* Registered Nurse with current registration [mental health/LD/Adult], appropriate to the job role
* Completion of Mentorship Course/ENB equivalent
* Evidence of continuous professional development, Significant post qualifying experience in the relevant care group
* Experience of working alongside people with complex health problems in the designated care group
* Experience of supervising staff
* Experience of providing a range of clinical interventions to people in the designated care group with a variety of health problems
* Experience of working consultatively with professionals
* Experience of conducting clinical assessments including risk assessments
* Experience of partnership working within and across various statutory and non statutory teams and agencies
* Experience of working within the CPA process
* Previous experience of working in the community, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
