Our client, a well-established and reputed manufacturer, is looking for a CI Manager to join the business and support them in improving processes across their manufacturing operations. As CI Manager, you will support the integration of new processes and the standardization and improvement of existing ones, delivering gains in efficiencies, capacity, and throughput.
This is a great opportunity for a CI Manager who has a strong lean toolkit and experience developing processes and behaviors in engineering-led manufacturing settings. The company is keen to adopt best practices and has an overarching Lean framework within their parent business to support this role in implementing and developing the company operations.
The role of CI Manager:
As CI Manager, you will be a capable change manager, influencer, and effective leader who can champion change and embed a lean culture across a group of people with varied levels of exposure to lean tools. You will be tasked with challenging existing processes, gathering and using data to inform improvement opportunities, and developing change initiatives linked to their delivery.
The ability to integrate these lean tools into daily activity and develop a culture of engagement is a critical measure of the position.
As CI Manager you will also:
* Liaise with the SLT and group to design, deliver, and review best practices.
* Effectively utilize tools such as LEAN, Six Sigma methodologies, Value Stream Mapping, and Time in Motion.
* Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities and achieve target savings through the use of lean tools.
* Support teams to coach and train tools and principles which build and embed a Right First Time / Lean culture.
* Determine and introduce training/development initiatives as required to further the site's capabilities.
* Develop and maintain new and existing relationships to share and develop best practice standards.
* Design and support implementation projects where process improvement is in scope.
* Create ownership and capability development programs.
* Recommend, develop, and introduce appropriate systems to embed and support the continued evolution of a CI culture within the company operations.
The Ideal candidate:
* Proven background in delivering quantifiable change within organizations through improving systems and processes utilizing lean tools.
* A background in manufacturing or industrial engineering or similar / formal lean training.
* Experience in capex justification and project delivery.
* Robust analytical toolkit.
* Strong change agent.
