The Role
We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to lead the operational transformation of 600+ group gyms & our support centre to fully digital ways of working. Leading the design and implementation of new software, delivering comms & engagement, delivering learning and training to the business where necessary. Key drivers for this role include enabling improved remote management, driving quality, consistency and technical efficiency. Leading a team of project managers to implement and design best project management practices across the business using innovative solutions.
Additional Responsibilities within this role include:
* Lead and deliver IT Change Projects across a complex group estate of 600+ Gyms.
* Oversee and drive the successful delivery of large-scale IT change initiatives across the organization, managing a diverse portfolio of projects impacting over 600+ gym locations, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and achieving measurable results.
* Establish a robust Project Governance process with comprehensive planning and clear visibility.
* Implement strong project governance frameworks, creating detailed project roadmaps and timelines that provide stakeholders with clear visibility of progress, risks, and milestones. Regularly report on status, adjusting plans as needed to mitigate any delays or issues.
* Design, create, and pilot systems to ensure intuitive user journeys.
* Collaborate with product teams and end-users to design, develop, and pilot new systems and technologies, focusing on creating simple, intuitive, and seamless user experiences that increase engagement and efficiency for gym staff and members alike.
* Conduct detailed stakeholder mapping and develop comprehensive communication plans.
* Facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration to meet business requirements.
* Lead thorough transition and roll-out planning, including tailored training programs.
* Finalize projects with effective change management processes.
* Collaborate with international teams to influence the implementation of communication, learning, and task management initiatives across the group.
The Person
* Experience of leading an IT team that handles projects with a range of markets.
* Entrepreneurial mind-set and an appetite to work across functions and teams.
* Self-starter who works dynamically and flexibly in a fast-paced environment, where goalposts may move.
* Experience running multi-site projects with a strong focus on communication and engagement for the teams involved.
* Naturally ‘hands-on’ and collegiate approach, comfortable working with a wide variety of people.
* Pendant for detail who faces challenges with a naturally problem-solving attitude.
* Confident communicator who can adapt their style to engage with a range of stakeholders.
* Flexible location-based role, with travel to gym and office sites across the UK as needed.
