About The Role
In your role as Head of Service at HC-One, you’ll value one thing above all: kindness. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist Care homes. Everyone who works here understands that our Residents are people with their own stories to tell. By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving nutritious, healthy meals that our residents will love. You will assist in preparing cakes for the morning tea trolley and the lunchtime desserts/cakes. Demonstrating the highest standards in cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene is essential. Whether maintaining food supplies, checking fridge/freezer temperatures, training new starters on equipment use, or cleaning spills, you’ll always keep resident well-being as your priority.
HC-One is looking for someone with kitchen experience who is aware of The Food Safety Act 1990, The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, RIDDOR, and COSHH regulations. Strong record-keeping and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to follow recipes. When communicating with residents and colleagues, you should be considerate and kind—after all, it’s just in your nature.
