Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, comprising of nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, employment specialists and mental health practitioners. To provide mental health expertise in the care of adults in the community multi-disciplinary team, to ensure patient care is safe and of a high quality. To work in collaboration across profession and organisational boundaries to provide a comprehensive and holistic assessment. Main duties of the job Develop rapport with patients and treat all patients, carers and staff with dignity and respect. Work with nursing staff, multi-disciplinary teams and other allied health professionals. Ability to communicate with patients' carers and clients where motivation maybe low and engagement is difficult, necessitating the use of motivational and persuasive skills where there maybe barriers to understanding. Receive routine information and communicate to various people. Undertake all statutory and mandatory training required for the role. Identifies situations of clinical risk and takes appropriate action to ensure a safe environment for patients/clients/families and staff. Demonstrates commitment to quality improvements, risk management and resource utilisation participating in monitoring and evaluation activities including audit and research activities.
