We are looking for a passionate and inspiring Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Level 3 to join our supportive and talented team at Lansdown Park Academy. We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students’ learning.
What we are looking for:
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Level 3 will complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for developing and delivering agreed learning activities under an appropriate system of supervision. The role will involve a variety of elements, including a small number of Outreach cases, where the successful candidate will work with pupils in their mainstream settings to provide interventions to support improved behaviour for learning.
The HLTA will support teachers but also deliver learning/intervention activities for individuals and groups. Responsibilities include delivering lessons to small groups or whole classes on a regular basis within an agreed system of supervision and pre-determined framework. The role will significantly contribute to the educational, personal, and social development of pupils, advancing learning under the direction and guidance of relevant colleagues (e.g., the Principal, SENCO, and class teachers).
You will support students in accessing the curriculum, engaging with their learning, and achieving their full potential by employing relevant strategies and techniques developed from significant experience, specialist knowledge, skill, and expertise. You will deliver measurable impact on student attainment as well as social and emotional well-being, with benefits likely extending beyond the individual student or class for a wider positive impact.
This post would be suited to an experienced TA looking for the next step in their career or a current HLTA looking for a change in role or setting.
