Company: Mercer Description: We are seeking a talented individual to join our Impact team at Mercer. This role will be based in Birmingham, Manchester or London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. Senior Member Communications Consultant This role will focus initially on pension communications but may expand into wider reward and benefits change communications. We will count on you to: Be responsible for delivering client communication strategies and managing the end-to-end communication project delivery from the point of initial contact through to final evaluation. Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, produce and manage all client communication collateral on time and to budget. Be responsible for consulting with both internal and external stakeholders and be able to identify communication requirements for the engagement of pension scheme members / employees – creating, managing and delivering communication strategies for clients including approach and channels. Manage the delivery throughout the lifecycle of the communication project, developing project plans, setting milestones, coordinating internal and external resources to ensure successful project delivery. Develop and execute innovative communication strategies for complex initiatives, initiating ideas, develop innovative concepts and deliver plans to meet client’s requirements and to required professional standards Review, curate and edit all communication collateral – letters, leaflets, articles, videos, presentations and any other material Create strong, ongoing (internal and external) client relationships becoming their trusted partner and influential adviser on all pension scheme member engagement issues Build a pipeline of communications business through building relationships with internal colleagues, new business proposals and pitches, identifying and follow up on new opportunities with contacts in the wider business Contribute to market/product development initiatives What you need to have: Significant experience in corporate communications or related field, supporting pension communication initiatives. Experience of pension scheme communications is required – particularly defined benefit schemes and ideally member options / risk transfer exercises. Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills plus editing skills. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships with both internal and external clients and the ability to communicate confidently with senior leadership.
