We are searching for a bright and enthusiastic graduate who is looking for their first industry role in finance and procurement to join our Manchester city centre based finance team. This entry level role, as a Finance and Procurement Assistant, will give you the opportunity to learn the basics, with the option to train formally in either accounting or procurement. Position Description You will be responsible for the daily ordering of goods and services for our customers and internal needs, whilst ensuring orders and services are delivered on time. You will work closely with all departments across the company, ensuring a smooth purchasing process. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting regular price comparisons to ensure that the company is always getting the best price for each product that is purchased. During quiet periods, you will work close with the finance department to help with supplier invoices relating to our customers or internal orders. We offer a hybrid working arrangement where you can work from home 2 days a week. Following completion of your probationary period, you will also be offered the opportunity to train formally in procurement or finance, with financial support provided by the company. Key Responsibilities: Manage the creation of purchase orders; ensuring supplier quotes are correct and valid at point of purchase and are in line with SysGroup’s policies and procedures. Liaise with suppliers regarding the delivery of purchase orders and expediting where necessary. Work with our Service Desk department to help apply customer services when required. Assist Account Mangers with obtaining supplier quotes for active opportunities when necessary. Support the Accounts Team with supplier invoicing queries. Ensure CRM systems and records are accurate and up to date. General Administration duties as and when required. Requirements Essential Qualifications: Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree in any subject. Minimum of a C or equivalent in Mathematics at GCSE.
