BTS_US TaxChat_Assistant Manager The opportunity An Assistant Manager will lead teams of Analysts and Seniors and be responsible for client service delivery for a particular geography, area or specialization. Reporting to a Manager or Senior Manager, they will assist the management team in developing and coaching team members as well as ensuring that resources are deployed effectively Your Key Responsibilities Demonstrate a very high level of proficiency in tax technical knowledge relevant to U.S. individual, trust and partnership returns; demonstrate an understanding of more complex technical issues. Ability to sign medium complexity returns. Drive the tax return production process, review complex tax returns and other tax deliverables efficiently. Manage turnaround time of deliverables as per service level agreement. Establish and maintain long-term relationships with the clients and internal colleagues. Explore opportunities to bring more work to the GDS and to EY by consistently providing high quality work. Supervise day to day operations and engagement milestones with little or no manager involvement. Demonstrate leadership skills in developing the highest performing teams. Help Senior Managers and Managers with advisory and ad-hoc projects. Develop engagement and financial management skills by managing own and/or other’s impact on project economics, including controlling costs, monitoring budget to actual differences. Contribute process improvement ideas leading to higher quality service delivery to the client or greater efficiency in the compliance process. Identify opportunities to leverage information and resources across assignments and teams.
