Job overview
Our Admin Team Leader will provide direct line management support and supervision of the secretarial and administration teams in the appointed areas, ensuring strict compliance with trust policies and procedures.
They will monitor and ensure that the management of patients is efficient and effective, considering the individual needs of the patient and the requirements of the service. They will ensure that patients are treated with courtesy, dignity and respect. They will support the Practice Manager to undertake change management.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide line management support and supervision for the secretarial and administration teams and junior doctors in the designated areas.
2. Input and verify on HealthRoster staff absence and overtime for the secretarial and administration teams.
3. Monitor stages of the Patient Tracking List (PTL) for exceptions and data quality – where found any patient who is at risk of breaching 18RTT/Cancer pathways – are to be proactively managed and if required escalate to the Practice Manager.

* Good level of general education
* Keyboard Skills
* NVQ3 in Administration or equivalent
Knowledge and experience
* Evidence of problem-solving skills
* Experience of change management
* Experience working with PCs and spreadsheets
* Understanding & knowledge of Patient Administration System (PAS), PTLs, Infoflex, Allocate, CRIS, e-Referral etc.
* Customer Care
* Experience in working within multi-skilled teams
* Proven relevant NHS supervisory experience
* Knowledge of Patient Access Policy
* Understanding of performance targets and waiting lists
* Experience of compiling departmental timetables and rotas
