This new role is designed to enhance a current project by leading community engagement for community energy initiatives in the West Midlands and creating an online resource hub to provide critical information to community groups.Key Responsibilities: Community Engagement: Act as the first point of contact for community groups in the West Midlands, answering questions and providing guidance on energy projects. Market Engagement: Lead market engagement within the community, run events, and engage with community groups about upcoming support services for community energy projects from the council. Resource Hub Management: Create and manage an online resource hub for community energy projects, including guidance on procuring suppliers, project management, and high-level technical support. Knowledge Maintenance: Maintain a strong understanding of the community energy landscape at national, regional, and local levels, including GB energy and the local power plan.Ideal Candidate: Relationship Building: Maintain strong collaborative relationships with community groups, strategic partners, delivery partners, local authorities, and other key stakeholders, ensuring commitments are met and expectations are exceeded.
