Kennedys is looking for a Corporate Affairs Lawyer to join our Corporate and Public Affairs team in our London office. The successful candidate will support the firm's important role in having a voice on the way on which global business trends influence the market and create impact on the world.
Reporting into the Corporate Affairs Director, this client-facing role reflects Kennedys' strategic priority to drive client engagement and revenue generation through our thought leadership programme, ensuring our thought leadership is global and aligned to the identified needs of our clients. It will also help ensure that Kennedys continues to innovate through and with our expertise, focusing on thought leadership concerning important horizontal issues of interest to our clients and to the firm. Such issues include the changing sustainability debate, the AI revolution, shifting geopolitical sands and the future of Justice.
Strong writing and editorial skills are essential, as are knowledge of the law, good judgment and critical thinking. The Corporate Affairs Lawyer will identify new opportunities for thought leadership and engagement with clients and other stakeholders, including policymakers. The role will also initiate projects and campaigns, and otherwise develop action-orientated content that provides differentiated perspectives and deeply researched insights and advice designed to put Kennedys at the front of our clients' mind.
The role will play a hands-on role in shaping, refining and improving the story in order to demonstrate the expertise of our people. This includes examining the impact of legal, industry and political shifts on the international insurance and wider business environment and communicating the steps relevant stakeholders need to take to protect the sector's future.
They will work closely with other subject matter experts and cultivate relationships across the business, acting as an advisor, influencer and problem-solver to both the business and clients. This role demands a strategic communicator who excels at distilling complex concepts into clear messages that provide the foundation for high-quality content and client-facing activity.
The Corporate Affairs Lawyer will take responsibility for articulating an issues-led, data-driven, forward-looking content strategy and gaining alignment for that strategy among senior stakeholders. Their impact will be evident on several fronts. They will help establish and expand a pipeline of top-tier content across a range of topics. This content will reflect clear strategic priorities and increase the visibility of Kennedys' expertise and point of view (POV) among clients and key stakeholders globally. It will be supported by a well-defined Client Relationship Management programme and channel strategies; resulting in stronger reach and engagement among client and stakeholder audiences.
