Housing Management Worker\n Supported Housing\n Sunderland\n 3 Months\n 40 Hours\n £17.21 LTD / £14.67 PAYE (inc. hol)\n A national charity is seeking a Housing Management Worker to support tenants, manage properties, and ensure safe, compliant housing across Sunderland.\n \n THE ROLE\n You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of properties and supporting tenants to maintain their tenancies.\n\nProvide intensive housing management support to tenants, including help with housing benefits and signposting to additional services.\nConduct initial and regular assessments of tenants’ needs and risks.\nEnsure correct tenancy agreements are issued and clearly understood by tenants.\nLiaise with the Asset Management team to maintain property standards and report repairs.\nOrder furniture and household goods for properties.\nMaximise rent collection and manage arrears in line with policy.\nFoster positive relationships with landlords, neighbours, and the local community.\n THE CANDIDATE\n The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar housing management role, with strong knowledge of tenancy support and property management.\nExperience working with vulnerable individuals and managing housing tenancies.\nKnowledge of tenancy law, housing benefits, and arrears management.\nAbility to conduct risk assessments and manage safeguarding concerns.\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.\nExperience working collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies.\n THE CONTRACT\nWorking hours: Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm (40 hours per week, 35 paid, 5 hours lunch unpaid).\nTravel: Frequent travel across Sunderland\nWorking pattern: Hybrid – Mandatory office day on Wednesdays in Derby; remaining days spent in the community.\nDuration: 3-month contract.\nPay rate: £17.21 per hour (LTD) / £14.67 per hour (PAYE, inc. holiday).\n HOW TO APPLY\n To apply for this role, please email a copy of your CV to (url removed) or call (phone number removed) to discuss the role in more detail!\n If the role is more suited to someone you know, we offer a £250 referral bonus for every successfully referred candidate
