About the team and the role The Price & Promotions team sits as part of the Commercial Strategy team and is tasked with developing and executing the strategic pillars of Ocado Retail’s value proposition. From conception to delivery, the team ensures initiatives resonate with new and existing customers and are successfully maintained across the business. As a Pricing & Promotions Senior Associate, you will play a key role in developing and landing new analytics, tooling and ways of working to inform how we make pricing and promotional decisions. You’ll drive strategic projects to support our overall value roadmap, as well as ad-hoc analysis to support proactive and reactive price and promo decisions. You’ll have great communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts to a range of audiences, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders. You will work closely with the broader Commercial team to deliver recommendations and embed new tools and ways of working. What you’ll do Develop tools and reports to be used by the broader business to further the understanding of price and promotion performance, working closely with the data science and insights functions Drive the roll out of new tools and ways of working to the broader Commercial team, partnering with individual Buyers to review and improve price and promotional performance Support ad-hoc projects involving customer and commercial analysis of strategic value initiatives Perform analyses of pricing and promotional performance using large datasets Who you are Essential: Previous experience in an analytical or consulting role, preferably for 2 years, and comfortable working through analytical problems Strong commercial mindset and enjoys problem-solving to uncover actionable insight Proven stakeholder management experience Excellent Excel skills Ability to drive projects forward independently with keen attention to detail Experience in presenting analytics-driven output to wide-ranging audiences in a clear and logical way Preferred: Experience of using SQL (Preferably BigQuery) Experience in a retail, e-commerce, or FMCG business Experience with data visualisation software such as Tableau At Ocado Retail we’re passionate about building careers and skills by giving people access to new and diverse opportunities.
