Lift Engineer
Base location: Kings Cross, London
Salary: Salary £44,129.70 - £49,033. Starting salary is £44,129.70 will increase after probation
Working hours: 35 hours per week, typically 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, one day from the office the remaining 4 days from home to sites

Do you want to work with one of the largest not for profit housing associations in London?
We're looking to recruit a Lift Engineer to work in the repairs function for our client based in London King's Cross.
As a Lift Engineer you will support the contract administration team, resident facing staff, and contractors to ensure the lifting equipment in their buildings are in good working order and returned to service quickly when a repair is reported.
You will also be required to cover the full property portfolio managing your own schedule to attend buildings across the whole of London supporting the diagnosis of faults and specify solutions working in partnership with the contractors. You can expect to be dealing with passenger lifts in low, medium and high-rise blocks, including supported and sheltered housing where the lifts are vital to the residents.
The contractors will carry out the actual repairs, but your skills and experience will be invaluable in making sure complex repairs, or repairs that require multiple trades, get completed quickly and effectively. You'll build relationships with resident-facing staff and contractors to ensure updates are communicated efficiently and you'll be an ambassador for the housing association while working in their buildings.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to build on your experience of working on lifting equipment in a residential setting. You'll be an excellent problem-solver and see things through to their completion, making sure the residents are inconvenienced for as little time as possible.
We need someone who has experience installing or maintaining lift installations including lift manufacturers such as Kone, Otis and Schindler, which you will draw on to assist when diagnosing technical lift issues, ensure that the works completed by our contractors offer value for money and that they complete repairs in a timely manner, work with our LOLER inspectors to ensure that all assets are inspected on time and that any identified defects are passed to the contractors and resolved prior to their deadline.
You must have:
Essential
Level 3 NVQ in Installation Commissioning (Lifts)
Level 3 NVQ in Engineering Maintenance (Lifts)
Full UK driving licence is required for the roleOr equivalent
Desirable
Level 4 NVQ EAL Certificate in Performing Testing Operations (Performing) Or Equivalent
