Support Worker - Ashford - Salary up to 27,000 + Sleep in rate = .00 per sleep shift
Platinum Recruitment is partnering with a leading health care provider in Ashford, Kent to find compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their team.
You'll play a vital role in supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy, and Acquired Brain Injury to live fulfilling lives.
A NEW enhanced DBS certificate will be required for this support worker role and ideally hold a UK Driving licence and car
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide individualised support based on assessed needs and preferences, promoting independence and well-being.
* Daily Living Support: Assist with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
* Community Engagement: Accompany individuals on outings, appointments, and social activities.
* Communication & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including daily notes and incident reports.
* Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues, families, and other professionals.
* Shift Work: Work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins.
About the Role:
* Provide support to individuals with complex needs, enabling them to live fulfilling lives.
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and domestic tasks.
* Support individuals in accessing community resources, attending appointments, and engaging in meaningful activities.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development and implementation of support plans.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
* Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Essential Requirements:
* Experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Epilepsy, and Acquired Brain Injury.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Previous experience as a care assistant, in Social care or working with vulnerable people is an advantage.
* Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and some sleep-ins.
* Commitment to providing high-quality, service user support.
* Relevant qualifications or experience in the health and social care sector (desirable).
* Dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
* Experience with Mental Health in young people or adults and if you hold a MHFA certificate - this is a bonus!
* A full UK driving licence; this will be an advantage.
