Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Procurement Manager with effective advice, guidance, coordination, and support regarding procurement and contract management activities.
2. Lead the choice and effective guidance of procurement routes for low risk/low value tenders/RFQs and contracts, ensuring proper monitoring and contract management for both low and high-risk services.
3. Carry out monitoring of KPIs/critical success factors and compliance checks to ensure contracts are operating effectively.
4. Develop and maintain supplier chains and work closely with contract providers to enhance relationships and support commissioning teams.
5. Lead commissioning activities for Corporate Goods/Services contracts, including market research and business case development.
6. Ensure E-Procurement catalogues/prices are updated and advise the Business Support team of changes.
Essential Criteria - Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience and Expertise:
1. NVQ level 3 in Procurement/Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline, and/or equivalent demonstrable experience.
2. Experience in tendering and contract management processes, legal terms and conditions, and writing service specifications.
3. Substantial knowledge of tendering and contract management processes within a statutory organization.
4. Knowledge and/or experience in the application of the procurement/commissioning cycle.
5. Able to attend meetings beyond the workplace with customers/partners/suppliers.
