Responsibilities: Identify, analyse, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets. Utilise tools and methods to present data in accessible formats, with a primary focus on leveraging Power BI for visualisation. Design and develop Power BI dashboards to enable self-serve data consumption Understanding data needs by interfacing with fellow Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Product Managers. Work closely with other departments to identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend optimisation. Provide data analysis services to support various ad hoc analysis requests. Proactively making recommendations for new initiatives. Defining the roadmap, in collaboration with stakeholders, for the analytics functions. Supporting the business by providing relevant data insights through BI/MIs, data mining or other analytical activities. Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications: Technical Skills: Essential Power BI Development: Proficiency in developing end-to-end Power BI solutions including data modelling and building interactive reports and dashboards. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis. Understanding of databases is required, with familiarity with Redshift being a plus. Postgraduate qualifications in STEM subject or similar such as MSc/PhD Experience with Scrum and AGILE based methodologies. Optional Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) knowledge is a plus. Knowledge of Python is considered a plus. Personal Skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to efficiently gather, organize, analyse, and distribute substantial amounts of information, ensuring detail and accuracy. Effective communication, time management, and organization skills. Team-oriented attitude and the ability to work well with others to achieve a common goal. Comfort with conducting independent research in situations where solutions to problems may not be immediately apparent.
