How to contribute to our vision
We are currently seeking a Business Improvement Professional to join our team based in Hull.
You will initiate, support and coach Production Excellence, lean activities, and structural optimizations on production area level. This is an opportunity to lead on ensuring business excellence improvement plans are scoped and executed on behalf of key Functional Stakeholders in line with Strategy in to Action drivers.
Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
* Driving and supporting all production excellence and lean activities in the defined area of responsibility.
* Deploying production excellence and lean standards and documentation of methods and processes.
* Consulting with operations staff and accountable management in production excellence and lean topics and helping deliver execution of projects and opportunities for improvement.
* Analyzing processes or disruptions, identifying weak points, developing solutions and supporting implementation.
* Proposing production excellence and lean projects, evaluating costs/benefits and overseeing its roll out.
* Monitoring and tracking improvements triggered by improvement programmes and providing respective reporting to all stakeholders.
* Preparing, distributing and training subject and method knowledge and sharing best practices.
* Participating in work groups/projects and meetings and facilitating workshops.
* Managing shopfloor tooling systems and storage areas.
* Day-to-day management of business improvement support operatives.
What you need to make a difference
* Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
* Experience at Team Lead level or equivalent.
* Demonstrable leadership and influencing skills.
* Proven track record of developing and implementing successful improvement plans.
* Experience of lean techniques and current management best practice.
* A natural problem solver who is highly analytical with developed decision-making skills.
* Experience of developing Production Processes from scratch.
* Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
* Good understanding of health and safety requirements of a working environment.
