Job summary We are looking for a candidate with the appropriate knowledge and experience of supporting patient safety incident investigations, or the equivalent, to work within the Clinical Governance and Patient Safety Department at UHB. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an established team of investigators. Main duties of the job You will be required to support and complete investigations into clinical and other incidents of varying nature and complexity in line with agreed investigation timeframes and protocols. This will involve interpreting data and producing a clear narrative analysis. You are expected to have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise your cases. The role also involves navigating sensitive issues in a professional manner. The successful candidate will be expected to work within the new national Patient Safety Incident Response Framework. The role is based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital but includes regular travel between hospital sites and elements of home working if desired. The post can be filled on a secondment basis, subject to the agreement of the applicant's line manager.
