Job summary Liverpool University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust wishes to appoint a Consultant Hepatologist as part of a planned expansion of consultant and non-medical workforce. Applicants are required to hold Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) or equivalent qualifications; to be fully registered with the General Medical Council with licence to practise and listed on the Specialist Register, or due to be registered within six months of the date of appointment. Main duties of the job The Appointee, together with his or her colleagues will have a commitment to the provision of Hepatology. The majority of work will be specialist hepatology incorporating the appointee's desired subspecialty interest. Ward cover is provided on a rotational basis when the Consultants take part in 'hot' weeks for 2 weeks at a time. The successful candidate will also cover outpatient and endoscopy sessions. A specific interest in Autoimmune Liver Diseases will be welcomed, but all subspecialty interests are welcomed.
