We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Clerk to join a team based near Richmond.
The role and responsibilities:
1. To manage a portfolio of clients’ accounts
2. To input into sales and purchase ledgers
3. Producing VAT returns
4. To assist the Accounts Team with monthly management reporting and debtors’ reports
5. Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
6. Any other reasonable duties as required within the team
The skills they are looking for:
7. Have a relevant accounting qualification or equivalent in experience
8. At least 3 years’ experience in an accountancy/book-keeping role
9. Experience of IT systems - Sage, Xero
10. Good level of numeracy and analytical skills
11. Ability to prioritise busy workload
12. Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
13. Ability to act on own initiative whilst also working within Company processes and procedures
14. Good organisational skills
15. Pays attention to detail
16. Interpersonal skills - ability to communicate with people at all levels
17. Possesses tact, discretion, and respect for confidentiality
18. Experience within a professional services organisation preferred, but not essential
