Accounts Assistant Credit Control Apprenticeship Level 2
We are seeking a motivated Credit Control Apprentice to support our team in managing outstanding invoices and client payments. No prior experience is required just a willingness to learn, excellent communication skills, and an interest in working with finance software.
Wage: £13,741 a year (£7.55 an hour as a starting salary)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 5.30pm (35 hours a week)
Start date: Monday 12 May 2025
Duration: 1 year 6 months

What you'll do at work:
* Communicating with clients regularly to follow up on outstanding invoices and payment commitments
* Using QuickBooks Online and Chaser, our cloud-based credit control platform, to automate invoice reminders and statements
* Managing payment collections via GoCardless, setting up standing orders, and ensuring timely fee payments
* Building strong relationships with clients and handling payment queries professionally
* Learning key credit control processes and developing essential finance skills

Training: Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You'll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
College or training organisation: HRUC (HARROW, RICHMOND AND UXBRIDGE COLLEGES)
Your training course: Accounts or finance assistant (level 2) - Equal to GCSE. Course contents include:
* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data.
* Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements.
Your training plan: Accounts or Finance Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard:
* Work towards gaining a full Qualification
* Employment Rights and Responsibilities
* Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours
* Standard and End Point Assessment
* Functional Skills in English, maths, and ICT (if required)
Requirements:
Essential qualifications: GCSE or equivalent in English (grade 4-9) and Maths (grade 4-9). Let the company know about other relevant qualifications and industry experience you have.
Skills: Communication skills.
Other requirements: Strong communication skills, good attention to detail, eagerness to learn and develop a career in finance and credit control, basic IT skills, and willingness to work with cloud-based accounting software.
