Job Description In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems and equipment for wastewater treatment plants and associated infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include creating electrical designs, specifications, and layouts to meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical engineers, project managers, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project execution. Additionally, you will conduct electrical load calculations, select appropriate components, and ensure all designs are cost-effective, efficient, and environmentally compliant. Ability to work with and within electrical installations and automation control systems. Regular site visits will be required to assess installation progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the successful implementation of electrical systems. Your expertise will help drive the safe, reliable, and sustainable operation of wastewater facilities. If you're excited by the prospect of building something from the ground up and shaping the future of water design, this opportunity seems like a perfect fit Qualifications Batchelors degree in engineering / related field or equivalent preferable Ideal would be a Chartered Engineer status and membership of professional institution such as IET, InstMC or CIWEM Water experience preferred and understanding of control systems. Significant experience in the technical delivery of process plant systems on complex water industry engineering projects Excellent project management / organisational skills with ability to multitask Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent degree of computer literacy CAD expertise and experience preferable Field / practical experience Excellent CDM and health and safety knowledge and application Positive “can do” attitude with flexible approach to work Excellent personal presentation Driving licence preferable (full, clean) CSCS card preferable Knowledge driven from hands-on field experience There will be training provided in this role Ideal Qualified electrician/Panel Building experience Understanding of cable calcs, awareness of Trimble/Amtek Software Working knowledge of BS7671 (18th Edition) Working to Electrical regulations Additional Information
