Position: Full-Time Permanent Religious Education (RE) Teacher

About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our vibrant school community in Chorley. This is a full-time, permanent role starting April 22nd, 2025. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality RE lessons across key stages, inspiring and challenging students to explore and understand diverse religious beliefs and values. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the department and make a positive impact on students’ personal and academic growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and stimulating RE lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages respect, critical thinking, and empathy.
* Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing regular feedback to ensure academic success.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of the RE curriculum.
* Participate in departmental meetings and contribute ideas for new initiatives to enhance student learning.
* Support students’ personal development and wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Religious Education or a related field.
* A passion for teaching RE and the ability to inspire students.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
* Experience teaching RE across Key Stage 3 and 4, and ideally Key Stage 5.
