Business Development Manager- Principality Plastics Warehouse

We are looking for a Dynamic Business Development Manager to join our growing team.
The role will suit a self-starter with the ability to grow sales and market share within the region, concentrating on PPWs key brands.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be a key member of the Sales Team.

Principality Plastics Warehouse is a long-standing business trading for over 32 years, selling Trade & DIY products for building and maintenance.
We sell to the trade market and DIY-ers, online and through our branch network, in Cardiff, Gelli, Gloucester and Swansea. With our fast and exciting growth plans both, organically and through acquisition, an opportunity for a Business Development Manager has arisen.
The role:
As Business Development Manager, you will grow sales and market share within the region, concentrating on PPWs key brands. You will be working to a monthly and annual sales target. You will spend your time visiting customers, prospecting, and maintaining close relationships with key suppliers and our branch network.
Job Purpose:
* To grow sales and market share within the region, concentrating on PPWs key brands, including working to a monthly and annual sales target;
* To act as the customer-facing element of PPW, representing the company in all customer and supplier interactions.
Key responsibilities:
* To grow sales and market share within the region, including generating new business.
* To account manage existing business and grow sales within those accounts;
* To re-engage with lapsed accounts;
* To maintain close relationships with key suppliers;
* Customer visits to be centred around key suppliers, either jointly with the supplier or independently;
* To produce a monthly report for the Sales Manager and any other reporting as requested by management.
* To work collaboratively with the Branch Managers to ensure any potential customers are visited.
* To attend trade shows;
* To maintain accurate records within OGL, including the use of activities to ensure full and up to date information is stored;
* Any other tasks as commensurate with the post.
This is not an exhaustive list and you may be required to carry out additional duties as necessitated by the needs of the business.
Minimum Requirements:
Field sales experience within the building plastics/products industry, or similar sector.
Essential Skills and Qualities:
* Strong business acumen.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
